… did you hear about the man contesting a separation by claiming he was schizophrenic? The wife said she’d divorce both of them!
I knew I guy many years ago who was being divorced. The judge said to him, “The court awards your wife maintenance of £10 per week”. He replied, “Oh that’s alright, isn’t it? I’ll try and chip in a couple of quid as well”.
True story 😂
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
@JoeSoap One should never be without Cocktail sticks. Extremely useful if a screw hole (particularly in wood) has become slightly oversized. A cocktail stick and a squirt of glue, jobs a gooden.
My tip of the day 😂. 🖖

Snap two in half and use the four pieces as packers when you need a 6mm Rawlplug but have accidentally used an 8mm masonry drill!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I have an internal external thermometer. Originally intended for monitoring a medical drugs fridge, I use it to measure indoor and outdoor temperatures. It has logs for max and min and alarm outputs for out of range errors. Cost about £30 but that includes recalibration every two years. According to that, my differential stat is fairly accurate.
Very handy, but a bit of overkill for my needs. I like the humidity bit on @WizzyWigg’s. I don’t take a blind bit of notice but Flo says it affects her hair. Not a problem I have to worry about 😂

I have a great party trick where I stick a cocktail stick into the cork of a bottle of wine. I then jam two forks together by the prongs and insert a cocktail stick into the intertwined prongs. Finally, I balance the forks on the wine bottle with the cocktail sticks tip to tip and the forks flying like a bird. I’ll try to post a photo later, unless anyone else wants to try and beat me to it.
Impressive. Here’s my quick effort on the kitchen floor, Not quite tip to tip but with the right weight of forks, length of stick and some patience it’s possible….
When I was looking for a cork I discovered I had already bought one of those cheap thermometers. I also noticed the temperature on a cheap little radio.
The thermostat is clicking at 19 degrees and the two cheap thermometers show 18 degrees when perched on the thermostat, so fairly consistent…
So, when we click to 21 at wine o’clock we are actually basking in 20 degrees.
