I keep a close eye on my gas and electric and how much I use and what it costs.
Has anybody else noticed that despite being told that the prices are coming down from the 1st of July that their electricity has gone up!
I sent in meter readings on the 1st of July and topped up on the 1st of July to make sure everything would be on the new prices going forward.
I checked my usage and despite not being in the house 5 days out of 7 during the week, since the 7 July I am now paying £0.63p more per day than I was before on my electricity.
I am not in debit, I am always in credit and I have never used the emergency credit.
The fact you are paying 63p per day more for electricity is not enough in itself to deduce that the cost of electricity has risen. You have made no mention of how much you are consuming in kWh per day since 7th July compared to what you were prior to that.
More information is needed with regard to daily standing charges and how much you are now paying per kWh compared to what you were previously.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
What information are you using to come up with £0.63 per day.? using the information linked above you should be able to determine whether the prices you are being charged are correct or not. Costs will vary by levels of consumption. The devil is in the detail, as I'm sure you are aware.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
Hey @Moomin17 Anasa here 👋 it's been a while since we heard from you so I'm just checking in to see how you're getting on with your new prices and if you were able to get the answer that you needed? It would be great to see how you're getting on 😊
