Crdeit Refund
-
I requested a refund of over £500 on the 6th July. yesterday I was contacted by Eon who asked me to confirm that I had received the refund. I was not able to do so at that moment, and they informed me that it had been repaid 19 minutes ago and that it was in my account. Checked my account yesterday, nothing! (Friday 14/7). Checked today (15/7) still nothing!

They may mean your online Eon Next account rather than your bank. It normally shows in there on a note as a pending payment first. Check your account balance to see if it is as it was or if it’s £500 lighter. Also look under Transactions.
See link below for my experiences of credit refunds…

I think @JoeSoap is on the right track here with what's happened.
Usually what happens is that a refund will go to finance for approval, once it's been approved and sent from our account it is marked as repaid in the system (as we have now paid it out) and your account balance will reflect this. It can take up to 10 days for this to reach your bank account depending on your bank's internal processing times however it's usually much quicker."Green is the prime colour of the world and that from which it's loveliness arises"-Pedro Calderon De La Barca 🌳

Sorry to hear. It can take a couple of hours to show in your account. I know my online bank is carrying out some maintenance today and tomorrow, this can delay updates. Try looking again either later on or Monday. You might have to speak to Customer Services again. -
I was contacted by Eon at mid-day yesterday, and as I have said nothing in the account yesterday or today. I appreciate that it can take time and will check my account again on Monday

Hi,
There are 2 credit repayments which have been raised for me. The first was to reduce a large credit balance which was not needed, the second was for a direct debit that was suddenly increased. This is about the first repayment reducing the credit balance. A representative from Eon phoned me at bout mid-day and told me that the money had been repaid to me 19 minutes before the call and could I confirm that the money was in my bank account. I was not in a position to do this so looked later. It was not there! I checked my credit balance online and saw that it had been reduced by the mount due to be repaid and that the repayment was mentioned under the Transactions tab. So my credit balance has been reduced correctly, but as yet no refund. -
@DebF_EONNext
It will have been paid via BACS, rather than by 'Faster Payments' no doubt, so it will take 3 to 5 working days to show up in a customer's bank account.
@mikecgrant, expect it to appear on Wednesday at the earliest.

Thanks for the responses and I was told that it could take 7-10 days for the money to be repaid after approval. However I had been promised to get a call when the amount had been repaid to my bank account, so I assumed when I was contacted that I should check my bank account. I will now wait for the money to be credited to my bank account in the coming days.

The refund should be in your account within 10 working days of your request so I make that by 20th July. Please keep us informed of any progress.
