Hi,
My mobile app was working fine up until July, when I moved to a new fixed tariff.
Since then, the gas & elec usage shown in the app is total nonsense. Some days, it shows a combined usage of £0.14. Impossible when just the standing charge is more!!
I have had a manual update to the Smart Meter too, but I am curious as to why my app is not showing the correct daily consumption. It is showing what looks like the correct amount in kWh, but not the £££ Since the 3rd July, it is getting "no data" for electricity in the kWh tab, so the cost is next to nothing.
Any ideas what I can do here please?
Is your IHD showing the correct tariff and is it giving you the correct daily £ and usage? If so you might be one of the lucky ones 😉. I've never taken these apps as the gospel truth when it comes to daily costing or usage. They are often slow to update for one reason or another.
I'm afraid the only suggestion might be to try Hildebrand Bright. Can't guarantee it will be any better but it's does get data direct from the DCC.
I just checked my app and the last usage data showing is for 7th July. Interestingly, I was going to recommend the Hildebrand Bright App (and still do) but when I checked in there just now I found the same issue, namely, no consumption data after 7th July. Looks like an issue affecting more than just the Eon Next app.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

That's interesting my Eon app shows up to the 11th and Bright shows nothing from last Friday until yesterday!!!!!🤔🤔🤔🤔
My daily 'pull' of the previous days usage (in kWh) that I record every morning from my IHD has been correct since the start of July although the tariff rates are still showing incorrect tariff rates and SC (and obviously incorrect £ usage). Makes no odds to me personally as I do a running £ forecast for the month ahead DD amount ahead based on a running average. The IHD is incorrect (re £) but my spreadsheets are not as they use kWh. Billing to date has always been correct and reconciles to said spreadsheets thankfully.
I have no knowledge of these apps but I guess they are similar to the Bright app and show historical data which, in my case with Bright, goes back a couple of years.
Just be sure to have your energy account set to half-hourly smart meter data reads to get the most precise breakdown of usage in whichever app you choose.
Hi all,
I've just taken a look at the display on my electricity meter itself, and it too is displaying the incorrect p/kWh and SC. The prices shown there match my IHD.
Is there cause for concern? Am I being billed correctly?
I wouldn't worry you will only be billed using the tariff on your online account not by the figures you see on your apps or IHD. Billing only uses meter readings nothing else. There have been issues which the tech bods are aware of. If you haven't I would suggest reading this thread just in case you want to take it further: https://community.eonnext.com/thread...ll=1#post35601 😉
Any consolation my IHD and Bright app have shown the wrong tariffs for months. They show Flex non DD and should be Fixed V4 DD. 👴
