Recently updated to latest version on play store with the release note "trying a new build" and Bitdefender has flagged the app as exhibiting malicious behaviour recommending to uninstall and not enter any personal data.
Have there been any further reports of this at all? Is the app on Play Store currently safe to use?
I've just this minute updated to v 1.7.2 from Google Play. Can't see any problems. 👴

I think possibly I may have triggered the alert by inadvertently uninstalling the app and immediately reinstalling which may be flagged as potentially malicious activity.

@crocfish do you have on your android one of these anti-virus cleanse app ? The E.ON Next app is absolutely safe to use. I personally have apple and I have had no issues, but I will flag up this matter to the team and try to get you an answer tomorrow to see why the app clutches with the anti-viruses app sort of speak. 😊

Yep had same comment, but Google Protect scanned and found nothing. I think what you did might be the reason it was flagged up. 👴
@crocfish Did you install it back now or did you delete it ? I would give it a 24hrs and see if it still comes with the same message. I will still go and try to find some info for you. Hopefully tomorrow.
