Do put IHD Tariff Update Request and even your account number as a title if emailing so it gets into the correct hands quicker.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -

These smart meters aren't very smart are they lol !
To me unless they are displaying the correct tariff prices it totally defeats the object of me having one
It's costing me money to give me incorrect information lol !
I might as well turn the IHD off. -

I actually like my smart meters and IHD. The readings are always taken automatically and the IHD is good for other things. I’m not sure why it’s costing you money to get the wrong info. Your bill will be correct. This is just a glitch and will hopefully be sorted soon 🤞 -

The IHD figures don't have any bearing on your energy bill as this is calculated by E.On Next based on the reads and not what the IHD says.
On the bright side following the tariff changes, your IHD will be reading high. Try taking the figures at face value and then get a bit of 'feelgood factor' when your bills come in lower.
All that matters when it comes to energy saving or best use of energy is the actual kWh figures. The £ and pence are a nice to know but not actually that relevant.Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can.
