    @JoeSoap @LeeDQ_EONNext. So the HAN is owned by Alt HAN Co, a not-for-profit organization that is owned by the major energy suppliers. They in turn appoint the DCC, data communications company, which Capita are the current contract holders

    It’s all a bit much for me to take in. I’m aware the DCC is between the meters and supplier and it was one of the things customer service was trying to blame for my loss of comms. I’ve no idea why I lost comms or why I got it back again and I probably will never know what the problem was or how it was fixed.

    My understanding of HAN is that it is completely within the area of meters, comms hub and IHD. Alt-HAN is some kind of device which is used for properties where the meters are a long distance from the IHD so need a boost to communicate with each other. That’s all as far as I understand it anyway. I don’t have alt-HAN.
    I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

    Ok, tomorrow could be another milestone. Historically, in my online account under 'Transactions', I get charged for gas and electric on the 5th of each month. This then must be the day that smart readings get taken. This of course, hasn't happened since 5th July as I the meters lost comms a couple of days after that and weren't restored until 9th September. Once my bill is produced, these readings show up on there dated the 6th of the month. I'm not sure if the transaction actually appears in my account on the 5th or if it shows up some time later so it may even be a few days yet until I know for sure that everything works ok.

    Going on experience it'll show on the 6th. I've only 2 ticks still at the moment, plus no readings for Sunday 1st of October on Bright. 🤔

    Ok, thanks for that 👍

    I don't know why my missing data never appeared. @retrotecchie thought it should come back as long as my meters weren't changed but it's been a few weeks since comms was restored and nothing yet 😭

    I've got Sunday's data though 😜

    Theory is wonderful. I've got loads of gaps before the 20th of September. Hey ho 😟. Was hoping to celebrate but I've put baking a cake on hold. 😢

    @WizzyWigg

    The meters store 13 months worth of data. Surely there is an SMETS command to download that?
    Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

    My experience is that the reads pulled from my smart meter happen on the 1st of every month (as they should do because I joined Eon Next almost 2 years to the day on Oct 1st 2021). There was a 6 month period or so before the ducks were lined up (manual reads in the interim).

    OK, so on 30th September I took meter reads from the IHD as close as possible to midnight going into Oct 1st for my records (and just in case ...). The pulled reads appeared (as usual) in my online account later on during the following day (evening time of the 1st) along with the 2 transactions (one for Electricity and one for Gas) and a new account balance arising from these 2 transactions. They have reconciled very closely to my running spreadsheet compiled each day during September. The detailed statement has invariably arrived in my online account in time for the morning online chores on the 2nd October as usual.
