Well, I now have a few sets of fingers crossed and I'm grateful for the positive energy (that's what Eon Next is all about 😁) flowing to me from this forum. Nothing can go wrong now 🤞🤞🤞
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
so, I’ve had the visit from the engineer. In summary I’m connected, I have an updated gas tariff but not yet an electric one. I’m going to wait for 24 hrs to see if the electric tariff updates appear.
the solution was to reboot the meter first the electric one then the gas one. Then wait 6 minutes for the electric meter to completely power off. Turn on the electric meter, wait for all the lights to flash then power on the gas meter then pair the two meters.
if only there were a simple button on the outside to do this. But, to power off the security tags come off and the big fuse is pulled.
anyhow. I’m 50% there, I’ll check the powe tarifff and the updated usage tomorrow
Thanks for the update 👍. I'm heartened that the engineer didn't go straight to swapping the meters. Let's hope you get everything up and running as it should be. In case you haven't read my posts on here from yesterday, I seem to have meters that are communicating again and I'm now waiting to see if my tariff updates tomorrow. I can't remember if your meters lost comms or not (I'm sure they did) but if so, out of interest, have you checked in any apps recently to see if you have any recent data?
No recent data. In fact no usage data at all since 7th July. I’m hopeful that now it’s connected this will all arrive in due course. Will check tomorrow. Just checked again, still no updated electrical tariff only gas
So it's just turned the witching hour and although I'm pretty relaxed about most things, why do I suddenly feel like an expectant father pacing up and down awaiting for the news of a new arrival? And this isn't even 'my baby'!! I'm hoping the 'Soap Opera' will reach a conclusion and @JoeSoap can finally get a happy ending to this whole long drawn-out episode at last.
We're rooting for you Joe 🤞. Please....let's hope for no more plot twists or cliffhangers! 🤣🤣🤣
