@Mailman Better late than never? I'd expect the latter is probably better in this case.

Pop me a PM with your details, photos of the meter showing your tariff details and the IHD, I will get this added to the examples list. Im hoping to get around 10, with yours I have 5 for the team to investigate.

    Thanks

Anyone care to advise on how I can do as requested? The insert image does not appear in the PM 🤔

I had to post requested images on this thread and put any personal info in the PM to Lee and then direct him to the thread. You could post your pictures here and put a link in the PM
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

Ok, so here's a question for both you and our compadre @JoeSoap.

Have either of you been back through any published data (regional price caps or such) and actually managed to find any correlation between your incorrect meter rates and any other rates?

The general feeling appears to be that those are possibly non-DD rates displayed on your meters, but it's a bit hard to tell because surely Next Loyalty v4 (which I think we are all on?) is a Direct Debit only tariff?

You are both in different regions to me but here in South Wales Region, my electric rates on v4 are 29.91p per kWh and my SC is 47.8p a day for DD. That standing charge looks very high!

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

Yes to clarify that the utility rates that I see on BOTH meter and IHD are for Next Flex DD (here in the NE) and they are both incorrect,

The rates that I see via my online account are for Next Loyalty Fixed v4. The billing has used these correct rates and reconciled recently (for my July usage) to my spreadsheet that obviously has these same correct rates. For electricity, Fixed v4 is 28.98 p/kWh, 51p/day (inc VAT) here in t'North. 👍

I wonder if we're dwelling too much on the meter/IHD rate readings - they won't be the actual rates used in the billing process.

I've yet to receive a bill, but in the communications I've had so far with customer services I've been assured that the bill calculations will be correct using the proper rates, and the values on the meter are only indicative values, as there is apparently an issue with getting the correct rates to display at the moment.

OK, they should be correct, so the customer can exactly see what their usage cost is, but as someone has already said here they calculate their own true costs by taking the displayed kWh and multiplying by their known rate

The rates currently on my smart meters are shown here. I'm in Eastern region but can't seem to find what tariff matches them 🤔

I fully understand that. The whole drive of this thread, if they can't update them correctly, is to find out exactly why the tariff updates to smart meters are going pear-shaped this time around when there has been no problem before. No-one seems to have come up with any explanation and I don't think it's too much to ask.

I have now had an update on my customer complaint on this issue that I submitted around six weeks ago and have so far not even had an acknowledgement for. It's been closed 😕

The complaint has now been reopened and is being dealt with by a competent handler. Let's see where it leads to now 🤞

    @JoeSoap

I'm wondering if the BOL at E.On has a way of actually passing actual tariff information to DCC, or whether the 'SMETS2 Command Request Tariff Update' tells DCC to push a new tariff and it's DCC pushing the data for the region from the OFGEM price cap tables? Surely with every supplier having the ability to charge anything they like, subject to the maximum regional tariff cap, they MUST be able to manually update tariff on a per customer/per deal basis?
