That's interesting. Mine said 24 hours. You've got to remember mine is a very old steam powered system. 😂. It was updated in a couple of hours. You've probably got the Chief Button Pusher looking after your update. 😂. He's very thorough and meticulous.👴
Well, whoever is going to push the button will hopefully be sharp about it 🤪
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
All the rest is gravy. Nice to have but not essential.
The best bit of a dinner for me is the gravy. I once had a dinner at my Granny's, back in the day. The tatties were superb, the veggies were delicious. She just forgot to do the joint!
No matter...covered in lashings of gravy, I didn't starve! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I was once served purple gravy. The kind host had boiled some beetroot and used the water to make the gravy. Tasted nice but looked odd over the Sunday roast 😂
My mum and granny used to make gravy using good old fashioned Comptons Gravy Salt. The traditional way of making it with the Sunday Roast up here in the North East, was to keep a small amount of the Yorkshire pudding mixture back, and mix in a bit of gravy salt, then add boiling water to the dish with the meat juices in, and mix in the gravy salt mixture. They then put it back in the oven while the Yorkshires were cooking. The gravy was always lovely. I sometimes still make gravy that way, and I agree about it being the best bit of the dinner.😃
I've never forgotten to cook the joint or had purple gravy either.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Reason: Adding info
In light of some recent successful smart meter/IHD tariff updates, I have just sent an email to customer service today, 19 July, asking them to try again with mine. I also mentioned the previous issues I recently had when asking for an update and the fact that my Eon Next and Bright apps have not shown any usage since 7th July. I will report any progress here.
I shall let you act as my canary 🐥, my rates are still not right on the IHD but Alcaraz won Wimbledon 🎾 so I'm a happy bunny.
However it would rankle with me if I went along the route of having to ask Eon Next via 'the channels' to initiate the 'tariff push to the meter/IHD'. This (tariff update to meter/IHD from July 1st) should have been done automatically (as it was in April for me) so I'm guessing there must 1,000s perhaps 10s of 1000s of Eon Next customers who are relying on their IHDs to tell them accurate information. On the positive side the 'overcharging' due to incorrect tariff details should be working in the favour of most customers come actual billing date.
Fortunately my trusty spreadsheet continues to serve this particular customer well and the IHD continues to prevent me draining the gas meter battery unnecessarily of its battery charge grabbing a meter reading for said spreadsheet. 📣
