Hey thank you. I would contact them. So the issue about VPN is not a problem but security measure, as they mean to ban all the VPN users? That sounds weird and definitely causes trouble for people who are out of UK for some reasons.
We're having problems logging you in.

@Batiuculus
That's what I gleaned from their Twitter feed. Looking globally at the moment there is an increase in web security. The media certainly is promoting awareness. -

No, VPNs work just fine. VPNs don't work if you are outside the UK. The security issue is location. In the old days, all a VPN had to do was hide your 'foreign' IP address and replace it with a UK one. Fine to fool iPlayer into thinking you are in Swindon when you are actually in Singapore.
The trouble is, thanks to Russian hackers and other cybersecurity threats, other methods are used to determine if you are outside the UK, not simply IP address.
There is a workaround but only applies if you have access to a PC physically located in the UK which you can access remotely using RDP.
If you are worried about not being able to pay a bill for three months, set up a variable direct debit payable on receipt of bill. You would save money anyway as your tariff would be lower than non direct debit methods.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -

The other method that sometimes works is to make sure you access the internet overseas using a physical Ethernet connection rather than use wireless. Most of the hotels in Singapore and the Middle East have an RJ45 socket in the rooms you can plug your laptop into, as well as wireless access points. I always found a wired connection was usually more successful for, say, internet banking or accessing my server than using wireless.

I shall remember that. π
I'm glad I kept my very old steam powered Netbook for it's Ethernet connection. π So old I can only get Linux to securely to run on it. π΄ -
Hello @WizzyWigg and @Mailman How are you? π Apart from all the app issues at the moment π I'm just popping on as I'd love to know a little bit more about what the issue is and need to get some data together to see where the issue is coming from:
I'll need to know:
- Are you having trouble logging into the App?
- Are you having trouble logging into the Community?
- Or both?
Thanks for your time! Lets see if we can get this fixed! πLast edited by Anasa_EONNext; 22-06-23 at 12:11.
