Ok. I've fallen off the fence and got out of my comfortable chair. I've taken up Loyalty V4 Fixed. I've spent the day doing the household accounts. Set the budget for the next 12 months and the V4 fits, in my case perfectly. No crystal ball this time just seaweed! π Seriously including a few 'what if's' in the equation and adding a reasonable contingency as well, it's feet up and out to the garden. I'll await the flack ππππ.
There are worse places than Coventry. Like where I'll be in the morning...Gravesend!
I have spent six hours on the road today and did battle with the anticlockwise southern stretch of the London Orbital Car Park. Staying in Tonbridge Wells tonight but I haven't bumped into 'Angry' or 'Disgruntled' thus far π€
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I was sipping a beer in Malta once and got talking to an interesting gentleman. After a while I said, βBy the way, Iβm Joe Soapβ. He replied, βIβm Disgusting of Tunbridge Wellsβ. π
Turns out he was the oldest paper boy in TW at the age of 83.
I ran my usage numbers for the period July 1st 2023 - June 30th 2024 and actually find that the difference was likely to be about Β£7 (Β£1408 on Fixed v4 v Β£1401 on Next Flex) so I'm actually on the fence about this one as the forecasts from Cornwall (used for future cap numbers that Next Flex will probably follow) as what they are i.e. just forecasts. I'm not sure if I really want to obsess about daily rates (on a TOU tariff) so I may just run the numbers one more time and just take the certainty that v4 offers. I'm starting to get bad vibes about what I see happening in Eastern Europe.
I know exactly where you are coming from. Having spent a day balancing the books. There was 2 or 3 times I said no but in the end in my case it fitted. I'm not expecting to gain much and like anything I could loose (not much). It's just I know what the next years out goings are (assuming the temperature doesn't go below -10c). It's one less thing to think about. π What ever you decide it's got to be best for you. π
I ran some more numbers for a cold winter - so added another 2000kWh of gas to present running yearly (just under 6000kWh gas -> 8000) and find the extra would be circa Β£150. Staying on Flex might be only Β£15 cheaper. Just looking more and more like a no-brainer especially if you can exit without penalty.
