I got v4 offered too and have taken it
lower standing charges. And unit charges
so whilst not got a crystal ball I am happy for the state of mind and that the saving made from now until October will also mitigate some
I also was offered the v4 fixed option and I have taken it. the rates are slightly lower than the currents rates and standing charges are slightly lower.
If as predicted that in September the rates will increase for the winter period then the v4 is a good option. If the rates don't increase in September then I will still have saved a little.
I am surprised to find that Eon Next have still not got the tariff rates from 1st July. My understanding was that the new flex rates would be cheaper than my current online v14, even taking in the increased standing order charges. I am looking to switch for the last 3 months of my contract to save probably around £25 (wow). Having just spoken to them, they asked me to check my online account next week, despite telling me 2 weeks ago, they would discuss the new tariffs today. Any guesses as to when they will publish their rates
I see the rates (post July) for Next Flex in the same page as the Next Loyalty v4 details and they match with what were promulgated on other sites (MSE, Ofgem etc).
I received my email yesterday offering me Next Loyalty v4 and started mulling it over immediately. I had previously thought I wouldn't rush into a new fixed deal but having slept on it, and remembering the cost of me delaying a fix last year, I decided to take the plunge this morning and have done with it for a another year. Considering my monthly DD was initially set at £535 last August, the £190 I'm now quoted (taking into account my credit balance) sounds almost too good to be true. My new contract starts tomorrow. I know I may lose out a bit in the long run going by current predictions but I'm happy with my decision.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
@JoeSoap
interesting that some customers are being offered Next loyalty v4
I am struggling to get anybody at Eon Next to give me details of this tariff. Were you on flex or a fixed contract and if fixed, when did your contract end. I am on online v14 until 2nd October but wish to move onto the new tariffs from 1st July
Can you also throw some light on the unit rates you will be paying on this Next loyalty v4 and the s/c.
I was on Next Flex. I think if you were within 45 days of your fix ending you would get the offer. You may have to wait a bit to find the tariff generally available.

My rates are… Elec 30.41p/kWh & 37.63p/day
Gas 7.27p/kWh & 23.08p/day
Gas rates the same as mine but electric far cheaper, mine is 39.39 day, 13.63 night, 43.66 SC. can i assume you are not on economy 7?

Thanks for that information. You were correct as I have just found out in speaking to E.on Next that I have to wait until I am 45 days away from my contract end to move to Loyalty v4. It seems rather unfair therefore that customers currently on a fixed contract cannot switch to this Loyalty v4 deal and have the benefit of lower prices, at least until 45 days from end of contract. It will be interesting to see what is available then.
in the meantime I have been able to switch to Next Flex which will save me around £25 over the next 3 months
