Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I've been offered Loyalty Fixed v4 too, it doesn't save me much per year as I'm quite a light user. But who knows if prices will shoot up again in the winter.....?
I'm considering taking it up, but think I would need to speak to someone at E.ON Next first, the tariff is quoting £133.49 a month for me, but believe it or not, having accrued so much credit over the last year because my DD was way overpriced I am currently paying £36.89 a month!!!
If my DD is what it says I will end up paying nearly £100 more each month plus building up a load of credit again.... maybe better for me to stick where I am.
Morning. I think we would all love a crystal ball. You could take up the V4 Fixed tariff and change your DD to variable (pay what you use). You'll initially use your credit up and get the benefit of the DD discount. If at any point in the year you want to change tariff(as long as you don't change supplier) you can do without exit fees. You do seem to be a very light user so a big decision. 👴
When I followed the link in the email they sent me about the v4 fix, the DD rate quoted took account of my considerable credit balance. In the event, when I signed up to it my DD didn't change. It didn't matter too much as my DD had recently gone down to reflect the new Next Flex rates and seemed to have taken my balance into account anyway. The upshot is that I pay about £7 per month more than the rate they quoted me and I'm ok with that.
I would do the maths by multiplying the tariff rates of v4 by the estimated annual usage on your latest bill. Then add the standing daily charges x 365 and then subtract your credit balance. Divide the result by 12 and you'll have a good idea of what your monthly DD should be. Then contact customer service and enquire about switching to v4 fully armed with some figures to negotiate the future DD around.

I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
As I've mentioned before my gas is with EDF and my electricity here . EDF have now a 12 month fix for gas which is more expensive than current variable prices.
I had been expecting suppliers to forward buy gas at market rates and offer lower fixed price deals on the back of that. I may have to think again.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
My previous supplier was EDF and they just sent me an email trying to entice me back. I jumped through the hoops to get the quote on a like-for-like basis with my new Next Loyalty Fixed v4 tariff. Their fixed rate would cost me £81 per year more using my current estimated usage figures.
I was originally EDF when I moved into this property although E.On Next inherited my account from Igloo at the last house. I finally migrated this meter onto my account, but EDF keep asking if I want to move back. Not at the prices they've quoted me, I don't!
Incidentally, running the numbers on my spreadsheet, I'm now £3.43 better off since I switched to Loyalty v4 on July 12th than I would be if I'd stayed on Flex. Single fuel low user but, as a certain supermarket likes to say, every little helps 👍
I used to like being with EDF and found the online account very user friendly. Then my tariff expired and what they offered me next was just not competitive.
The v4 Loyalty tariff is still looking good so far 👍

My mistake... I've had the confirmation email. The £81/year price difference was for EDF's cheapest tariff which is the Standard Variable. If I sign up to the Essentials Exclusive 1 year fix it would cost me an extra £129 per year over what I pay now.
