Have the details contained in your online account tariff confirmed this as well?
Not updating

@WizzyWigg the new tariff was being offered to me on my online account, like you say, to run after my current one finishes in July. But I had a WhatsApp chat and they allowed me to swap straightway. 👍

Good news. There have been issues since April with updating tariffs on some IHDs. This link might help:
https://community.eonnext.com/thread...-price-change) .
You could always Twitter or WhatsApp them to see if they can do anything, ( I know you have already), otherwise it might be a case of waiting. The important thing is what's on your account is what you'll pay.Last edited by WizzyWigg; 25-05-23 at 06:47. Reason: Extra information

Thanks, yes I’ve done that. The first person did try and send a signal to update the IHD. The second person was slightly less helpful and a generic response of, it’s going to take up to four weeks, as the amount of people swapping is causing a backlog updating the IHD. Or words to that effect. But, yes the most important thing is the price is right.

Well done. It would be wonderful to know if/when the update takes effect. Would you post the result on this forum. Fingers crossed but not holding breath. 😉 -

@Han_EONNext I will, I’m due to be billed tomorrow and I did read somewhere that that can trigger the IHD to be updated. I’ll keep an eye on things and let you guys know. 😊

As I thought, my monthly statement has been produced, and my tariff rates have been updated on the IHD. Some what of a relief to see less standing charges first thing in the morning. That said it could be cheaper, but it’s a step the right way.

@WizzyWigg
I've just been quoted 22p per kWh for electricity, no standing charges, fixed for five years. If small companies can do that, no reason why the big boys can't get close to those sort of prices. Ok, I need to put £1000 investment up front and 24 of my neighbours need to sign up too, but I'd planned to pull the plug on the grid later this year anyway so if this pans out, it might be sooner rather than later 🤞Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
