Fixing Direct Debit
-
Our DD is fixed at the 6-month lower amount (£30) and I can't change it on the website, as it thinks the DD is at the original higher number (£90).

Best AnswerHiya @ddrashh,
The best thing to do here would be to get in touch with our energy specialists, they will be able to get your direct debit set up correctly. If you pop a message over to our energy specialists on WhatsApp you shouldn't have long to wait 😊 you can find all of our contact info here. We would love it if you pop back once you're done and let us know how you get on!Last edited by DebF_EONNext; 10-10-24 at 19:51.

Nope,
Situation shouldn't have happened in the first place, we only became aware of it when an automated email arrived informing us.
Didn't feel getting the people who caused the situation in the first place involved would be a good idea, so manually adjusted our DD and paid the debt off over the course of a few months.
We're now back on track but will have to actively monitor our DD payments moving forward, since EON appeared to have dropped the ball. -
@ddrashh
Paying off the debt in arrears is actually financially good for you (money today is worth less than money in the past), but I bet it didn't feel that way.
I feel a complaint would be in order. Previously I've said that Direct Debits should be fair and reasonable, but the current requirement from OFGEM is that they should be accurate given the information available.
