Well spotted. π. It goes to show that I know nothing about horse racing. Wait a minute there is something I do know! All the winners have 6 legs π!
Do you have any wonderful facts?

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

So it's no good me asking you for the one to back on Saturday. π. Not that I'm a betting man. π€

Strange that. It's a non SI unit used in mainly English speaking countries. It's been standardised to be equivalent to 4 inches (101.6mm). Horse racing is very strange when it comes to measurements, with miles furlongs and hands β. -
@WizzyWigg
The three countdown markers to motorway exits are still at 'furlong' intervals in the UK. -

Then there's the Tic-tac, an old form of sign language used by the on course bookies to communicate the odds of the horses in the days before computerisation. I can remember seeing the late John McCririck using tic-tac on the televised racing.π -
@Tommysgirl
I remember John well. Quite a character. I wonder what aliens π½ from another universe would make of the sport π€ if they saw π it? Six legged winners (some 3 legged losers π), measured in hands, jumping over hedges and using semaphore to communicate! π―. I see no one has come up with the winner πfor tomorrow's big race yet. π
