Applied for a refund from our account 'pot' of £126 on March 20th. As of April 6th this has not yet been credited to my bank. This was showing on the account dashboard as 'not yet applied to account' but has now disappeared completely. Account will stand at over £600 in credit on April 11th. Anyone else had this issue of E-on being reluctant to give them their money back?
I too applied for a credit refund (£500) on 20 March and the money was in my bank on 28 March. It should only take up to 10 working days to process so something is not right. See the thread linked below. The last post in the thread details my latest experience of applying and receiving a refund… https://community.eonnext.com/thread...ll=1#post23972
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
When you say it's completely gone what do you mean? If you have not received a payment by now I would get in touch with an energy specialist as it may have been rejected, this can happen if the account hasn't been billed within 14 days or if there are pending transactions for example. It may be that you need to provide a meter reading and submit a refund request again but our energy specialists will be able to advise you further 🙂 You can find all of our contact info on this 👉 thread 👈

I am still waiting for a refund I should have had a couple of days ago.
Today, I was told it could be another 10-12 days.
I am not entirely convinced any action is being taken at Eon HQ to expedite my refund.
It is all very frustrating; I was relying on that money to help my pension stretch a little further.
@andrew12 Definitely frustrating. I sympathise. Did you query the reason for the delay? I understand there are so many things that can effect refunds. By the by I am just a customer and do not work for Eon Next.
I can't get a straight answer; the folk I am talking to just feed me platitudes.
I get the impression that when I have been told my money will be returned in 5 working days, they actually mean they are going to hang on to it as long as possible and not refund it.
@andrew12 You say you get the impression but have you asked the energy specialists what is causing the delay? There are so many members on this forum that might be able to help you. They are very good. They have helped me in the past.
@andrew12 That's a shame. In the past I've spoken to them and they have been very helpful. Answering my questions fully. Ok on occasions there wasn't a quick fix. Sorry I couldn't be of help.
