I noticed today the tariff values on my IHD have increased. I checked the tariff listed in my account online and in the E.on next app, Gas appears to be correct but electric is showing 6.4p per day more on my IHD than the next flex tariff, the price per kWh is showing approximately 2.5p extra also.
Who should I contact to get this changed as I like to keep a close eye on our usage and having incorrect data is a pain.
You're lucky that something has changed. My online account is blissfully bare of tariff information although an email a few days ago gave me the correct tariffs on both utilities. My IHD shows the January rates although that is not really an issue for me (I check my usage on kWh used rather than £ - at least that is correct). I appreciate that IHD's for some/many are most useful when the usage is calculated for customers accurately in £/day etc. Does make me think whether anyone ever did any monitoring in the days before smart meters (and especially the IHD) 🤔
Eon Next did pull my scheduled smart meter read at the correct time and I got my bill for March usage today so 👍 to Eon Next on that score.
I'm happy to ride out my online account information being updated soon so I'm not bothering to phone them up/use twitter etc for at least a week (probably longer). Phoning up last week only took 10 mins as I needed to revert back to Next Flex (changed from Online v18) and was efficiently done.
Things will sort themselves out over the next few days. You will be billed at the correct rates in spite of what is showing on your account or IHD… so we’re told.
To get your IHD updated you can send an email to hi@eonnext.com with Request IHD Tariff Update as a title and your details in the text.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Just checked that my IHD is showing the correct tariff/SC information so I think it has been updated at some point today (April 2nd). Done without resorting to making contact so things are happening bit by bit. What we now need are any confirmations especially from multi-tariff (economy 7 etc) users that their IHD's are in line with any notifications they have received via email. Well done Eon Next nearly there 😁 now we will probably all need our online accounts updating pronto before any early April bills get sent out otherwise them phones will be busy. 🙂
True I'm in the NW but I've been paying by DD for many years and my DD went out this morning. Figures should be as attached.
In that case you will need to make contact with CS - they have obviously got their proverbial in a twist but should be an easy enough fix I would have thought. 👍
Have you checked your online account this morning? My tariffs are now showing the correct numbers for my tariffs now so all good here.
@Mailman Emailed yesterday when first noticed. Unable to phone today. I know they are going to be inundated so not holding breath. My online account fortunately shows correct figures. 🙃. Definitely got (as you say) something in a twist 😂. Obviously the Bright app shows same wrong figures.
@Mailman
Unfortunately after contact with e.on via messenger they have managed to make things worse. Where the IHD was correct for gas it now has also been increased above the values stated for my tariff, and they didn't touch the values for the electric which is what I had clearly informed them about. During a second contact with e.on they now say it can take 24 to 48 hours to update which is strange the last change was pushed through in under 12 hours. Maybe someone from e.on could explain why there are inconsistencies? @Han_EONNext
