But I'd just like some confirmation that I probably won't be receiving the Warm Home discount like in previous years. I have all electric. I have not received the discount yet and from reading another thread I don't have a 'high heat home.' First time I'm hearing about this criteria. (I don't use my storage heaters). I've received no letter from the DWP either.
The criteria for 'High heat cost home' was only introduced this year, which is why you have not heard of it in previous years.
If you don't get the Guaranteed Credit element of pension credit and are not in receipt of the other qualifying benefits, then you do not qualify this year. Disability benefits do not qualify, however the government is providing an additional £900 of help this year for disabled people, in three tranches. One in spring, another in autumn and another in late winter early next year.

I receive only ESA benefit but because of this 'high heat home' thing I assume I still won't get the WHD.
The discount is only a 'done deal' if you get the Pension Credit. Everyone else has to qualify on the high heat cost parameters. If you don't qualify on that basis, then you won't qualify.
