I think it is just about possible but only with great difficulty.
@PeterT_EONNext knows the full story i think.

Morning @meldrewreborn you're correct it is easier when it comes to credit meters with prepayment meters it can become a little more difficult... it can also depend on the type of meter you have as I know that some suppliers also now allow you to move money across accounts via the app on smart meters, leave it with me and I'll double check just so I can pop back with something a bit more concrete for all situations as it will be handy to know, there has been lots of positive changes around the way prepayment meters work recently. I'll pop back with what I find out! 😊
@meldrewreborn Hope you are well! As promised I've just doubled checked and for the time being we CANNOT move credit on a non smart prepayment meter at this time which is a shame but thought I'd pop up the update in case it may help others as it can be a bit confusing! @WebsterR I'm sorry we aren't able to sort this for you at this time, did you manage to discuss this with anyone or find a work around for your situation? 😊
thats what I expected. The traditional pre payment meter has no feed upwards to the supplier, and I presume all the instructions from the supplier are included on the card or key when customers top up at their local shop.
So the system is quite clever, but only in one direction. The supplier has no direct access to the meter and no up to date readings, unless the card/key carries that data to the shop at top up time.
