I have an 11 panel set-up feeding into an Aurora Power One 3kW inverter.
It was installed in September 2012.
I had to repair the inverter in May 2018 due to the common E031 fault (new relays fitted and LEADED solder used), as this fault was caused by the makers using lead-free solder (according to online research).
No problems since.
I bought a spare identical inverter on ebay for £60, just in case!
Now thinking about a hybrid inverter in case I want to go down the battery storage route in the future.
What are the current industry favourites for a replacement 3kW unit?

It's really difficult for us to answer this if i'm honest as we don't recommend equipment. The only thing we can recommend equipment on is In home display units, this is because we know they are compatible with our electric meters etc
As the solar system is your equipment we would recommend doing some research etc, any work would also need to be carried out by a MCS Accredited installer.
Let me know how you got on, more than happy to discuss any information you may have found, local MCS accredited installers are probably the best bet here.
