I've had an ongoing unresolved query, on Twitter, since November so thought I'd try here!
So in November I requested to have my dual E7 electricity tariff, Next Online V14, changed to a single rate, day and night. This was done quite efficiently.
The customer assistant then when through a comparison of the kwh rates of my tariff and Next Flex. Flex seemed slightly more expensive but he assured me, I have screenshots, that that rate was fixed until Oct 2024. So I agreed to switch, thinking it was strange that a 'Flex' tariff was fixed, but went with it.
It transpires he was wrong and my Flex rate went up a little on 1at January.
Now I want to switch back to my Next Online v14 tariff I was on until it's expiry date and am just having people not resolve it on Twitter for weeks.
Incidentally, my original tariff expiry date was May 5th 2023.
Next Flex is, by its very nature, not a fixed tariff and depending on your region the rates may have gone up or down a tiny amount in January depending on OFGEMs cap for your region. If you think you got a better deal on the V14 fix then you have the right to change it back, but you moved away from an E7 tariff to a flat rate tariff, then that constitutes two changes rather than one, so I don't know how they might deal with it.
I suggest an email or phone call to Customer Services.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Thinking about it, with the EPG guarantee in place until April and my original tariff expiring in May, my fuel prices would be the same anyway as Next Flex was about 35p kwh and EPG is 34pish....
