Hi @Lorrie sorry to hear that you can't enter your reading - this can sometimes happen if the estimates are far higher than the reading you're trying to submit online.
Just so I can double check after what you've mentioned above, are you just trying to enter the reading or is this reading specifically for closing your account, as I noticed you mentioned a final bill?

You can't go directly to the Ombudsman without going through the complaints procedure first. Until you are in possession of a deadlock letter from the supplier, the Ombudsman usually won't get involved. The link to the complaints procedure is here https://www.eonnext.com/unhappy

Sent 2 emails to unhappy and had no reply what would you do if had no central heating or electricity in your house and to put the icing on the cake..... my partner is being discharged from hospital to a cold dark flat don't think you would be happy
@PeterT_EONNext hi, thankyou for replying. It is to close the account as tenants have now moved in. I contacted EON before Xmas and they said to submit a final reading then the acct will be dormant for me and the tenants will get a new account number. The issue is that the reading is way below the estimate because the house has been empty for 5 months. The online page keeps highlighting that the reading is too low then says to contact them which is where we are at now
I have emailed today with the picture of the meter on 19/12/22 when tenants moved in. This came from the estate agent. Whatsapp have literally just answered after 3 days so conversing with them now
@Lorrie Ah thank you for confirming! If someone has picked up your message on WhatsApp they should be able to get that sorted for you, let me know if you have any issues though and we can take it from there 😊
Don't forget, even though the house has been unoccupied and no energy has been used, you will still be liable for the five months worth of standing charges.
