I have been repeatedly trying to set up an online account with Eon Next, but no registration password ever arrives in my designated inbox - and they are definitely not going into spam. Repeated emails to the recommended address (hi@eonnext.com) have elicited zero response. Is anyone actually monitoring this address?
After regularly sitting on the phone for up to an hour with no answer I am running out of options - and no, I'm not on facebook or twitter, and have no intention of joining them simply to reach Eon Next.
I just had another email from the community:
"Have we told you that we are really excited to have you here?"
Hopefully someone in Customer Services will be equally excited to have me here, and actually answer my emails and help me set up my online account.
You don't get given a registration password. You set that up yourself. What you do need is your account number from your welcome email and then register the online account yourself.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@pwhole @retrotecchie is right. I set my own password when I registered my online account. The only thing you cannot do is set up a variable monthly Direct Debit if you want to pay your bill in full each month. Eon-Nexts system does not allow Customers to do that, presumably because they prefer people to pay by Fixed Direct Debit. You can still pay by variable DD but if you want to do so, you have to ring Eon-Next and they set the variable DD up for you. Hope this helps.😃

Reason: Adding info
Well this is what it states on the online account registration page:
Let's get you set up. For security reasons, we need you to reset your password by following the steps below.
1. Enter the email address we use to talk to you about your account.
2. We’ll send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password.
I've done this process three times now, first time over a week ago, and I'm still waiting for my email. I can't set up an online account until this happens, unless I'm really missing something. Repeated emails to hi@eonnext.com have received no reply either. I got one immediately to the same email address to set up this forum account, so it clearly works.
Hey @pwhole are you using the same email address that we have on our system? You have to use the same email address otherwise the system won't recognise your account.

I've never had an online account before, and so haven't ever registered this email address until now - all my previous communications from Eon Next have been by post.
There used to be an option to register a new account for which you needed an email address and your account number off a bill and then you set your own password. The 'register' rather than 'log in' option now appears to be missing or broken.
But I have emailed the recommended address several times now, over weeks, and never had a reply, so it's rather frustrating when I am trying to communicate ;)
A week later and I've still not had anything from EonNext about setting up my online account. That's weeks now since I sent my first email, and have sent more since. I can only conclude that hi@eonnext.com is not viewed by anyone in reality, and should be taken off bills as the main communication channel.
