Another good one was New Tricks which is always being repeated on the Drama channel. It was about four retired detectives who are back in the Met as civilians to solve old cases.

Having just watched The Chase, it jogged my memory that Bradley Walsh starred in a very good crime series "Law and Order UK" from about 2009 to 2014. He played D.S Ronnie Brooks. The first half of each episode dealt with the police catching the suspects and the second half dealt with the subsequent Court cases. Bradley Walsh was excellent in a serious acting role and I think you might enjoy watching.😃🕵️♂️

I read today that there will be another series of Vera. It hasn't been filmed yet, so it probably won't be broadcast until next year. Her original sidekick D.S Joe Ashworth played by David Leon is coming back for the new series too.
