Hi, I've been trying to get this resolved for a few months, and upon checking a few of the other meters here, most seem to be connected fine.

It was my understanding that they would mesh to a connected meter if there was one nearby?

Anyway, how can you force a reboot or something to get the meter to reconnect to the WAN?

About the only thing you can try is the Citizens Advice smart meter checker, but if your WAN light is flashing that quickly, then it sounds like your comms hub is not playing nicely. If that's the case, then nothing they can do remotely to 'reboot' anything.

Suggest an email to hi@eonnext.com with all your details in the mail and 'Smart meter not communicating' in the subject.

Cheers, been there and also via the messenger service, keep getting the same response and no action.

I'll keep giving manual reads, but I would like to know my usage breakdown etc.

Is there any way to escalate the problem here for someone to look in to?

I think I've just realised something with the citizens advice smart check, EON have the wrong postcode for the address!

When I check with the right postcode it says it is all working, when I put the postcode of the bill it it says it cannot find the meter!

Best I can do is flag @PeterT_EONNext and see if he can offer any insight. Sounds as If it may be an admin issue on your account.

I only move in a couple of months ago, rental flat, long story but never been in this situation before as always owned and paid for my own. However the flat has storage heaters, electric hot water and econ7, all of which I know nothing about 😁

The joys and learning curve that comes with divorce......

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Smart Meter and the readings aren't coming through to us.

I've referred the issue to our Smart Team to investigate further as it looks like it's been some time since we last received readings from the meter, so please do continue to provide your readings manually in the meantime.

There's a little bit of a backlog with our Smart Team currently so we could be looking at around 4 weeks before we know more about your meter/ this can be looked into. I will message back here once I do know more though.

In relation to your address details, if these are incorrect on your account (don't worry, this won't affect the functioning of the Smart Meter) this will still need updating. I can't take your personal details over here, so if any part of your address is incorrect on your account, please do send this over to an email to hi@eonnext.com and this will be updated for you in due course 😊

Hi Pete, Can you tell us any part of customer service that doesn't have a backlog at present? I know its not the fault of the staff!

I bet the board member's bonuses aren't held up in the same manner.

May I suggest that your answer would be along the lines of "you might say that, but I couldn't possibly comment".

I sent updated information on the 27th October to the email above and no update or reply yet. I also had the same response about the engineering/metering team from on the 29th Oct and 14th Nov.
