Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@retrotecchie that your best is it? keep trying a service that doesn't work? Oh no. Nonono. I am employing an independent engineer to fix things, then I'm going to recover the costs and damages that have been incurred to me because of their inability to provide reasonable customer support. Hows that sound? Businesses like this cant just go around doing whatever they like. They have service level obligations and requirements imposed on them by the regulators for a reason.
You do whatever you feel you need to do. But no amount of ranting in a customer to customer forum is going to actually solve your runaway meter issue. Complaining about poor customer service, which we all experience, isn't going to suddenly fix anything. If your only option is to speak to someone at customer service, then all I can suggest is continue to try and contact them via phone, WhatsApp, email or their social media channels. If that still produces no results, then you can escalate your complaint.
I’ve just gone back over your posts and am non the wiser what the exact problem is with you runaway smart meter is.
we’ve had issues with incorrectly measuring gas and electricity meters. Usually a test meter will be installed to prove the fault exists and then if proven to be faulty, the meter will be replaced. It does take time and you are not even on the path yet. The accounting will be settled on the basis of estimates in due course - a topic of negotiation no doubt.
sending an email with “smart meter massively over recording “ will get you into the queue. Few of us like queues, but there is really no alternative.
if you are over charged as a result of this any excessive Direct Debit can be reversed via your bank.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
As a result of somebody reporting an earlier post of mine I've substantially revised an earlier post.
But nobody would really know that (apart from the person who made the report) so I've made this post to draw attention to it for the rest of you.
I've just looked at your edited post and at the original which was quoted in the following post. If that quote was the post that was reported then I can't think of a reason why it would be.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
yes I agree. But on the forum we exist in an extreme version of the nanny state, where any member can report a post and then the moderators need to act on that report rather than pushing back. I find it rather irritating, my reaction to people whose posts I don’t like for any reason is to add them to my ignore list. Unfortunately that means usually that one of the other top contributors answers instead.😇
Dear @PistonBroke I'm a customer just the same as you. I'm not employed or paid by Eon Next. I volunteer to help other customers where I can through my own experiences. I am not under any constraints and certainly not influenced by the company. This forum with it's very learned members has helped me in the past. Perhaps they could help you. 👴
