I have not been billed for my domestic gas consumption since 18/06/2022. My gas meter is not working, there is nothing showing on the display and I am therefore unable to submit a reading. I have been advised that the gas meter maintenance and repair is carried out by a third party and it is not known when it will be brought back on-line. I am concerned about how long I have been in this situation and of course how much I am likely to be charged when it is eventually back on-line given the current uncertainty about the future cost of energy. They should be giving you estimated bills in the interim, but your meter is definitely duff. Suggest try an email to hi@eonnext.com with all your account details and 'Faulty Gas Meter' in the subject, rather than trying to get through on the phone.

@retrotecchie Thanks for that, I have been emailing hi@eonnext.com initially they did acknowledge me, but now they just don't reply at all, and I'm not even being a nuisance. So I've left the same message on their FB page and on this community forum. ๐
@Han_EONNext Thanks for getting back to me, I have discussed this back in August with a customer service agent called Rosielee. It is a SMET1 Meter apparently. Yes I do still have a gas supply and the meter has a completely blank screen and will not wake up to any button presses, and it doesn't communicate with my IHD.
Apologies for jumping on this thread, but I have a similar issue so it maybe not an isolated incidence.
My smart gas meter recently stopped working - it remains blank despite pressing button A for at least 10 seconds as advised online. I still have supply and pay via DD.
For info, the meter hasn't been submitting "smart" readings to Eon nor connecting to my IHD for months - but until recently I was able to get readings from the screen to submit manually. @Han_EONNext - any suggestions on what to do next based on your "snooping around" for Toby?
Gas meter battery is dead and needs an engineer visit to replace it. You will stay on supply but will only get estimated usage until the meter is replaced. You will need to contact Customer Services to arrange a meter replacement.
