Ah, I forgot about having a tab to my email and one to my photos open together. So I could have just opened a reply to their email and tabbed to my photos. If I hold my finger on a photo I can select ‘Copy’ and then tab back to the email and paste it. Then tab back to photos to get the other one and copy that to the same email. Then I’ve got the photos of both meters on the one reply.

Hang on. I was thinking of Safari where I can have multiple tabs. I don’t know how to have a tab to my email and a tab to my photos at the same time.

And this is on Android, not sure about Apple. To the right of the top of the screen, you see three icons. There is a paperclip, the paper aeroplane Send, and then the three dots thingy. Hit the paperclip and it says 'attach file' or 'insert from drive'.

If you attach a file, it lets you browse for pics, which you can then multiple select and insert into the email, then send it on it's merry way.


Copy to clipboard


Just under the picture, to the very right you have three vertical dots. Hit that...


Brings up a context menu that let's you copy the picture, which when you are emailing, you can hit the clipboard icon under the compose window, and select the picture from the clipboard and then drop it into the email....somehow. I'm still investigating that bit. Early days...

It’s ok, I’ve sussed it out. My phone has a button. I open the email I want to paste into. Then I press the button to make it disappear. Then I open photos and copy the one I want. Then press the button again to make photos disappear. Then open emails again and paste the photo to the email. I can keep repeating to copy and paste multiple photos to the same email.

by tab, I meant hit the o home button on the phone to take you back to the home page, then the three lines let's you see your open programs...

Yes but think of all those even less tech-savvy than me (surely there’s at least one). They can read this thread and find a few different ways to attach photos to emails… on a PC, android and iPhone.

You wouldn't think I was once IT Manager for a large multinational tech company...mind you that was a fair few years ago! Based on bitter experience, I tend to be a very late adopter of anything remotely new fangled. Smart meters spring to mind...

I requested my refund (£500) through email on the 3rd Nov and it was in my bank account on the 10th Nov. I didn't get asked for photos.... this time.

As long as there is about 2 months worth of credit left in your account (at this time of year) you shouldn't have a problem getting your refunds back.
