Been waiting 40 minutes so far this morning. Been trying to get through to EON on the phone for weeks.
You don't have anybody answering phones do you.
There is very low probability that calling at so many random times and waiting so long never gets an answer if you actually had anyone answering calls.
Does EON have absolutely no regulation or oversight on this? Can you literally not answer the phone for weeks and get away with it consequence free?
You might be best trying email or WhatsApp etc. It can still take a couple of weeks to get a response but at least you're not hanging on the phone. See here for other contact methods.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
With the best will in the world, even if they doubled the number of staff working the phones, the sheer volume of calls would still far exceed the amount of traffic they are trying to cope with.
More often than not, hitting the phone at spot on 9am when the lines open is often the best time to get through, although there will still be something of a wait.
I appreciate your frustration. I have racked up several hours on hold last month myself. As it turned out, my issues were eventually solved to my complete satisfaction via a different channel, but it was perseverance that was key in the end.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Thanks! Yeah tried that too. *However* after 50 mins this morning someone did actually answer the phone. UK based operative who was very apologetic or helpful. Once again, as usual, a big corporate is bailed out by its front line staff.
@retrotecchie
Well said retrotecchie! I totally agree, when you do get through, (sometimes it can take about an hour in a queue), they are usually very good at dealing with your issue. I've always found them very helpful even though they are inundated with calls.😀
