As long as energy used (outputs) marries up with DD payments plus manual payments plus Gumment handouts (inputs), then I'm satisfied, even if the way they figure it out seem to vary from one circumstance to another...DD date, if you've submitted readings on a different day, when the handout hits your account, etc.
My life is too short now to worry about the minutiae...so long as their bottom line agrees with mine!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Yes I agree, my point was that Chusty has been distressed over DDs and I’m just hoping his DD exactly matches his bill as has been explained to him. I don’t want to post anything on Chusty’s thread to throw in more confusion. In any case, looking at Mailman’s statement, the DD exactly matches the consumption so all is well.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Not sure if I really understand what you are asking but here goes.
As a Variable Direct Debit payer the 'bills' I get are online statements generated in pdf format so no paper statements as per my wishes. Got to say that the amount taken on the VDD is such that it zeroises the account balance once taken and applied to my account. Not had any amounts taken that did not match what was itemised.
If you look at my current online transactions and balance:
01 Nov Balance.jpg/a>
The itemised amounts that I see in my account match up with what I see on my recent statement in early November.
The VDD to be taken in a few days time matches both the balance (£16.04) that I see on my online account and the DD amount (£16.04) advised in the statement above. On the bill it clearly states 'You opt to pay your balance in full each month'
In my eyes I am not really 'paying the bill' so much as clearing the account to leave the balance at £0. My bills are generally raised on 1st of every month so my next bill covering 1st -30th November will be generated after the next set of meter readings (be they smart or manual) taken on 1st December.😀
Ok thanks, I have two statements online and duplicated as paper bills showing account balances of £ 179 .65 and £ 121.49 ,both requesting those amounts for payment on the 28th of this month . This is where it gets confusing as on the 28th I can guarantee those amounts will not be taken but a different sum altogether, as has happened in the past.
The bills are two separate dates, yes? between one and the other, have you submitted any meter readings, had any credits and/or made any manual payments. If that's the case, one bill would have superseded the other.

One dated the 11th November the other dated the 12th of November ( both requesting payment on 28th November) no meter readings submitted other than those pulled through by smart system( dual fuel). No manual payments.

Reason: Additional info
It would seem looking at @Mailmans image 1607 his bills show both utilities on one bill. I appear to be receiving separate bills with separate account balances for the gas and electricity, which would explain DD’s being requested separately. Furthermore looking back over previous bills the amounts taken relate to energy used never the account balances. What was throwing me was the requested monies not matching the actual amounts taken on the stated dates.I assumed the monthly DD’s would be the total of both gas and electricity together.
Not always the case. Most dual fuel customers just have one single amount, but that isn't always the way it is. Might be worth seeing if an email to hi@eonnext.com with your details and asking them to roll gas and electric into one combined payment for you, unless you are OK with separate payments?

Thanks, I have emailed hi@eonnext.com but as yet no reply hence my asking your good selves. I don’t mind them being separate but it would be easier if they were combined instead of multiple DDs each month and on the same date at the moment they are all over the place. It’s like a game of bingo you never know what number’s next up!
