Good morning,
I have not got anywhere with Eon, but after two years of multiple issues Eon has finally completed the installation of both of our smart meters.
Everything seems to be working, except the gas meter reading on the IHD (and therefore price) is 100x what it is reporting on the actual gas meter.
So today the meter reports 36.109 cubic meters, the IHD reports 36109 Cubic meters, and today's usage so far is 2804.45 pounds!!
I have confirmed with Eon that they are getting the correct reading (36.109) but it does make the IHD pretty useless,
Other than restarting the IHD they had no recommendations.
I was under the impression that the IHD converted from cubic metres to kWh and then calculated your usage costs from that? Perhaps @theunknowntech may have some insights?
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@retrotecchie Thanks, that is also my understanding, the root issue seems to be the incorrect scale on the data,
Hopefully, @theunknowntech can assist.
As far as I am aware, the meters should be 'pushed' not only with tariff and standing charge information, which then reflects across to the IHD, but scaling figures too. I suspect someone's dropped the decimal point somewhere.
I doubt it will work, but may be worth a shot...power off your IHD for an hour or two and then see if it resyncs?

Nope that didn't work, currently my gas usage is at 155079 pence/hr lol.
