Since July my smart meter IHD has stopped showing my daily gas usage and no longer even displays a standing charge, my gas is always just at £0.00. I have been having to supply manual readings since this occurred.
I have contacted Eon Next via whatsapp, facebook and email. The first time I contacted I got a response to say it could take 12 weeks to resolve and they would keep me updated. I heard nothing back. I have now messaged again (whatsapp, facebook email) and I get absolutely no response. The service is terrible.
Has anybody experienced this or have any ideas what the fix is?
I have tried the obvious (restarting the IHD) but as it is not sending any readings at all to Eon, I am assuming it's the actual smart meter that is the problem and not the display.
Electricity is working as expected.
I am finding this so frustrating, particularly with winter coming up I want to keep an eye on my gas usage!
If the electric is functioning OK, then its likely to be a fault with the gas meter, or the wireless connection between the comms hub and the meter itself. Data for your in home display starts from the meter and gets to your IHD via the communications hub. Tariff data is sent by your supplier to the meter via the comms hub. Have you tried the citizens advice smart meter checker- it does help with exact diagnosis?
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

Thank you for your reply! I have just done the Citizens Advice thing (I'd never heard of that before) and it's come back saying my meter is working fine! Not sure where to go with this now?
@theunknown tech can advise. Please submit photo of meter and comms hub, state general area where you live and describe what each light on comms hub is doing - static, flashing, frequency. More info the better. We can't correct the fault but hopefully it can be properly diagnosed so that customers services can issue the correct commands.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

@theunknowntech Hi, I am not sure if you'll be able to help or not. Eon Next have told me that the issue with my gas smart meter not sending readings or displaying my usage is "out of their hands" and a matter for the "DCC"? I am unsure why they told me when I reported this issue in July that it would be 12 weeks to resolve if I am now being told that the issue is nothing to do with them, they can't comment on it and the DCC is investigating!
For info purposes - I am in Suffolk. The electricity meter works absolutely fine (displays usage, daily standing charge and sends own readings). Unfortunately I'm not at home to get a pic of the actual meter
