These L+G meters are absolute nightmares because they seem to constantly lose it!
And yet their dumb meters are second only in reliability and 'bomb-proofness' to Siemens units
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
The real problem is the reliance on Landis+Gyr units. Aclara and Flonidan tend to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy more reliable.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

I've installed and used Siemens meters since the early 2000's. The only time I ever had a failure on one was a customer who bought a 'pure sine wave' inverter from a schonky Chinese brand and it turned out to be a very s****y modified sine wave jobby. The Siemens had no choice but to let the smoke fairies out! Mind you, it did last for a good week before it blew.
one other quick update.
i have downloaded two Android apps (Loop Energy & Hugo) to help monitor my usage.
Both apps say they can not find my Smart meter on the network!!!
Both of those apps need to connect to the DCC network to function. They don't connect to the meters themselves. If your meter is not talking to DCC, as seems to be the case, then no amount of faffing around with apps or anything else will work. The Glow Stick is a Consumer Access Device which from what I read, just acts as a bridge between the HAN/Zigbee protocol and external non-ZigBee comparable devices using WiFi or Bluetooth.
I'm no expert though... @theunknowntech knows more about the things than I do.
I'm far from knowledgeable on the subject but it seems to me that irrespective of whether your meter has correctly connected to the DCC or not, or if it's a read schedule problem, you should still be able to enter meter readings manually. The fact that you can't suggests that there's (also) an account problem.
I'd raise a complaint (be prepared for a long wait) detailing when you've contacted them, lack of understanding / help etc.
It may be worth contacting them again and give them an up to date meter reading, ask them to add it to your account as you're unable to. If they can do it successfully ask why they're denying you the ability to do so.

As far as I can see we cannot help with this problem and it seems that eon-next Customer Support can't or won't either.
