I transferred from Octopus in September 2021. Octopus had installed Smart Meters and an IHD6 device in June 2021. The IHD6 device eventually started displaying both electricity and gas readings. My transfer to EonNext was seamless and my IHD6 device continued to show both gas and electricity readings. However in April 2022 the gas readings disappeared and have not returned. My IHD6 still displays all of the electricity readings. I have contacted Customer Services 4 times since April, the last time 19th October 2022. After this last contact I did receive an email, with instructions titled “Your step-by-step guide to getting reconnected". I have followed the instructions a few times but have not been able to “enter the main menu”. As a result I have not been able to carry out Steps 3, 4, 5, and 6. Completing Step 2 the display says “Billing”. Carrying out Step 3 “2 short presses” shows “Now” in the display. I received an email yesterday from the EonNext Agent I talked to on 19 October 2022 asking me to send photographs of my meter, which I have done. With the energy situation as it is at the moment I would like this matter resolving so that I am better able to control my gas usage.
Can you post the photos in this thread. I'm sure one of our willing and helpful volunteers will be able to point you in the right direction. A picture of the IHD and the actual meter itself would really help.
Can you still get readings on the actual physical meter itself?
Are regular gas readings showing up on your monthly statements?
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I tried to view your post a few times yesterday but was denied access for some reason. Maybe others were too, which would explain the delay in you getting some answers.
I normally tag our smart meter/IHD expert volunteer @theunknowntech to advise in these matters. Hopefully you’ll get some advice soon.

I send regular monthly gas and electric meter readings to Eon Next. I also take weekly gas and electric meter readings and calculate gas and electric kwhs and therefore calculate my weekly costs.
I'm the same but work to every day level when I can, unless I'm away for a day or two. No smart meters though - just regular meter in the outdoor meter box and the three sub-meters in the consumer units.
Attached are the gas and electric meter pics together with a few of my IHD6. The gas meter reading on the IHD6 is the reading when the gas meter readings disappeared in April.
