You and @meldrewreborn would be UK Power Networks then. Eastern Region. Tarmac'ed roads, decent radio reception and possibly significantly fewer sheep...

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
There was a mention by the team to perhaps suggest adding pronouns to the profile questions to fill out if they wanted to. Personally, I don't think they are necessary as we don't hold data such as names and titles etc. I would love to know what you think. 😊
I think it’s something that’s going to become more common although it’s not something I feel strongly about one way or another. I’ve seen work-related letters with she/her after a signature.
The vast majority of posters come and go but as I’m around a fair bit I just thought I’d confirm what most folk probably thought anyway.
Any declarations on this thread will be buried amongst the very welcome light-hearted banter, but I now know the preferred pronouns of a couple of frequent contributors.
i’ve more anno’s than you , but nit nurse and dentist don’t figure in my memory, and it’s not a memory lapse. But Hackney and Islington might have had different policies to other locations. I do remember red cod liver oil capsules, and listening to special radio broadcasts of educational topics. And the terrible winter of 62/63 when spring was truncated.
I’ve heard of the nit nurse but never known one. The school dentist caravan used to fill me with dread in the sixties and I begged my mum not to send me. She relented.
I wouldn’t consume cod liver oil in any form but my mum gave us a Haliborange tablet every morning which we loved.

So have I...from one of our ex-directors. Called Martin.
He had a penchant for rocking up at the UK office occasionally (he was Singapore based) and greeting us with a cheerful 'Morning ladies...' even though we were all blokes. Mind you, spend long enough in Singapore and the lines become very blurred in certain bars and clubs.
They used to park the dentist's van round the back of our school kitchen, right by the swill bins. Not sure what was worse, the sounds of the drill and the screams of the 'victims' or the smell of festering swede.
Although not a church affiliated school, we still had to say grace at dinnertime. Our 'unofficial' version was 'What we are about to receive, the pigs have just refused.'
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
Oh yes, I forget you have such modern and new-fangled things west of the sign that says 'Here Be Dragons'. Sewers, I mean. We just had the lead pipework removed a couple of weeks before we moved in here. If it was good enough for the Romans...
We have a rat problem here. I can't seem to catch enough decent sized ones for the stew-pot.
