Just having a look at my billing history transactions and I've noticed I have 4 transactions for September - 2 for gas and 2 electricity and both with different dates. I'm confused as not seen this before - usually have 1 entry for gas and 1 for electricity. To be fair, didn't pick it up when I looked at my balance on a previous time. Anyone have any ideas?
Outdoor meters in a meter cabinet? Perhaps you had a meter reader round who took another set of readings on different day? It has happened to me before.
So long as your bill adds up, I'd just chalk it up to 'one of those things...' 😉 Obviously, would be nice to know what occurred, but as long as you are OK on the bottom line, no harm no foul.
Check what the meter read descriptions in your account are for the entries in question. I have only seen 3 types (all self-explanatory) Manual, Smart or Meter reader. When I had a Meter reader entry last year it was for the gas only - never saw the actual meter reader on the day in question!
On 22nd September, my meter reading states manual but on 1st October it states estimate. Wonder if this could be down to the energy bills support but then again, I get regular email reminders from Eon for meter readings which I do quite promptly.

Ahh you should have given manual reads circa 1st October (as almost all tariffs changed on that date due to the EPG) but hey ho, you might have done OK by it (£££ wise) in that Eon Next may have over-estimated the October 1st readings so you would be getting a cheaper tariff for these units up to this date.
