Can someone explain why I have been offered a tariff of 52.9p per kWh plus 38.94p per day instead of the EPG rates of 34p per kWh plus 46p per day when my fixed rate ends in December please?
If its a fix rate offer then it doesn't have to conform to the EPG figures.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
Eon’s email says that they have offered the NEXT flex tariff which they estimate for my usage comes out at £1520 pa. They say this tariff is protected by the EPG but when I do the arithmetic if it used the EPG tariffs it should only come to £1370x Then when I click on the links to select a tariff the price for the same usage increases by another 50% on top of their £1500 to £2300 pa. The numbers are mind boggling given our current annual charge of £800!
@JoeSoap
i have now and these rates I recognise but they aren’t what I am being quoted when I follow the links

I know that some tariffs on show are taking time to update and we’re being told that they will be correct on your bill.
As your fix doesn’t end until December you don’t have to do anything as you will be moved to Next Flex as a default. By that time all the rates should be showing correctly.
Of course, the EPG is only good until the end of March so you might want to expect some big rate hikes in April.
