I'm glad to see some conversation about this happening here on the Community. It's not something I was familiar with myself actually, so you've taught me something this evening!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how E.ON Next may be able to make information like this more clear?
We love to hear your feedback! 😄

Unfortunately I don't think there's even a slight chance of power cuts
According to something I caught on the news today, the chances appear to be increasing significantly.
I have a UPS for the router as we get regular power cuts anyway, shortages or not. With about 8 hours of run time on the tablet pc, I'm set.
Now, where did I hide the matches?
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Forget the matches - be ready with the hot water bottles ready to cling onto and retitre to bed is my advice. Read a kindle with a backlight. This is my plan for survival. No naked flames in my household or firepits moved indoors...
Not an option for me. In the event of a power cut, I'll be out in the garden shed smoking me pipe (which doubles as a handwarmer) and listening to the battery radio. 😎
The met office assessment was that the chances of a colder than normal winter had increased from a very low level to a low level. The authorities have to plan ahead for all sorts of contingencies, most of which never happen. I think the NHS comes much higher on the risk register.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

@PeterT_EONNext I still don’t have post code alpha identifier info on my latest bill. I called the customer support & WhatsApp message and the agent said he had no idea what this info is.
do you k ow whom/how I can get this info ?
I'm unsure as to why this isn't showing on your bill - it would appear this has been added to some customer bills and not others at the moment.
Another member BerkshireHunt helpfully posted the below earlier on in the thread, as a place you can go to check what your alpha identifier load block letter is.
From what @Electric1 said, I just assumed they'd already looked here on their bill.
@Electric1 are you able to confirm if you've checked this part on your latest bill online (the PDF copy of the bill) to see if the info is showing there or not?
