The money is meant for your bank account. There is no theft or anything else. Whatever amount of your DD isn't covered by the EBSS money, is charged to you as normal. If your DD is less than the EBSS, you'll be charged nothing for the month.

So what your saying is the original was a mistake that they corrected with the wrong amount and no reason given so I'm still £1 down? Back to the original question is that what others are also getting?
Also if your correct anybody with a DD less than £66 will only get what covers there DD but that isn't related to actual energy use? I'm all for the government not using tax-payer money to give money to those that don't need it, but that sounds like it has no relation to need just to what your DD is set at :/
Check that your bank account has received £67. And if you have, then you are no worse off financially. If you want to put the money back into your account just do a card payment to maintain your balance after the initial £66 was credited.
As to why this has been done in this way you should seek advice, as you have done, from Eon Next.
You are not the only one so I direct your attention to This MSE Thread
It may have been refunded back to your bank account because you may have a high credit balance. I think some of these problems are occurring because of the timing between when the £66 is paid, DD dates etc. If they have transferred it back then it may take a few days to appear in your bank account.
Unfortunately email is the slowest form of contact in terms of getting a response, even social media, the quickest, currently has a response time of about 5 days.
@TimW Some great advice here from the Community members - thanks all!
@Andy65's right though and it's due to the timing of your DD and the EBSS payment. If we haven't been able to amend your DD in time with the EBSS payment. We have to refund this to you instead.
