my smart meter in home display stopped displaying usage and cost of my gas and electricity it does not display the date and the wifi symbol showing it was connected to the meter also is not showing i went on eons help page but that was no help i rang support the lady said she would send an update to the meter but still it did not connect i was told you longer send out home displays and if it was faulty i would have to buy one myself and having seen the ivie bud was the one eon recommend i ordered one through the link on eons website when it came i plugged it in followed the instructions every thing went ok until it came to connecting to the meters and it wont connect i got in touch with ivie bud support they checked every thing at there end but could not connect to the smart meter can you help there are 6 lights on the smart hub 1 flashes bright every 3 seconds 2 flashes dim every 3 seconds 3 nothing 4 flashes dim every second 5 flashes bright every second 6 nothing I have also put the ihd in the cupboard in front of the fusebox and directly behind the smart meter at approximately 18inch distance to be honest the origional ihd had been in the same place since it was installed years ago with no problems until a few weeks ago i have put the ivie app on my smart phone and it says we are having trouble getting data from your smart meter if you need any more info let me know
Hmm... That meter is looking a bit dead to me I'm afraid! It may need to be replaced.

You have to buy one - the in-home displays are not considered by the suppliers as being important - except when trying to get people to adopt a smart meter in the first place.
EDIT - i thought he meant the IHD not the meter! If the meter needs replacing, then its E.On Next customer services. Good luck with that.

Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
It's actually the meter that looks dead to me. It's due for replacement soon anyway due to the 10 year lifespan running out.
hi so i rang customer services told them what was said the lady checked my account and said they were getting the electricity meter readings but not getting the gas readings and could i read the meter every month she said she would report the meter faulty but the meter team were 4 months behind with there work so no nearer getting the display working
