True, plus you can't find too many laptops these days with legacy ports. Essential in my line of work.
I can turn up on a job, plug in a serial cable, interrogate a system, do the tweaks and clear off again in the time it takes my compadre to fish through his bag of adapters and USB to serial dongles and find one that works!

@Han_EONNext thank you but I will not be holding my breath. I have been told by another supplier (a friend who works for British gas) that I need an engineer !! to come out and fix it. it's not an IHD Problem.
I have been in contact with our smart team to chase this one up and the account is still in review at the moment. This is in review as they are waiting for further information from the DCC to see what type of appointment will be needed to issue a fix for you 😄
