I have continually tried to resolve a problem with my smart meters but get nowhere over the phone.
Both my gas and electric readings have been read previously but now Eon next say they can only read the gas!
I am under the impression that the gas readings are sent from the electric meter and not direct.
If so why can’t they get the electric readings?
Been trying to resolve this for over 12 months!!
The best I can suggest is to post photos of your meters, comms hub and IHD and describe exactly what the lights on the comms hub (HAN/WAN etc) are showing. If any are flashing then at what rate in exact seconds?
I will tag our volunteer metering expert @theunknowntech who will hopefully pop by and use all the info to give you some advice.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
I still need more info. Please post photos of your meters so I can figure out what route to take.

The gas readings are sent via the communication hub to left (as we look) of the electric meter. The gas meter communicates by some sort of radio. The fact that the gas meter readings go through shows that the comms hub is able to communicate through the DCC to E.On Next.
I'd raise a formal complaint. Insist that they explain fully why they cannot resolve this by fitting a new comms hub or new electricity meter.
Current Eon Next and EDF customer, ex Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
