@retrotecchie - it sure is difficult! And no, I don't have access to outside space 😯. I have never heard of putting the machine on for another spin trick! I will have to give it a go 😁. Another one I didn't know! ❌ to the fabric conditioner!

Although, apparently if you use something like Bold liquid (other products are available) you really don't need to add extra softener anyway. Herself usually does chuck softener in, which is why I do my own laundry. Funny how she always wonders why mine seems to dry so much quicker than hers.
I'm a roughy-toughy windswept and interesting engineer and part time smallholder. By the time you've mucked out a herd of chickens, the extra 'freshness' of another dose of lavender and camomile has pretty much gone out the window anyway!
It does also help living in a soft water area. Less detergent needed, for starters.
I haven't heard of heated racks @Han_EONNext although I am a longstanding tumble dryer user so I've never looked for an alternative. I think if space/outdoor space is a restriction than as @retrotecchie has said getting clothes as dry as possible from the washing machine is key, particularly as it helps reduce the moisture in your rooms.
As a giveaway item, what about a nice throw? It can be used on the sofa and the bed.
Using a fan inside the room with the window open will help to replicate a slightly windy day at very little cost. Close the door to the rest of the property to minimise heat loss (in winter).
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

Better still, fit a crank handle to the fan and crank away. It saves on leccy, gets you fit, warms you up, gives you something to do, entertains the neighbours, the benefits are almost endless.
Or get a cocker spaniel. Put your washing on a drying rack, then tie a well done sausage to a piece of string and hang it to one side of the rack, just out of jumping reach. Watch in delight as your dog keeps jumping up to try and get the sausage, and the flapping of his ears gets your washing dry.
@meldrewreborn 🤣
@retrotecchie I've got a collie and could definitely see this happening! Reminds me of something that you might see in a What-A-Mess book, or perhaps Hairy Maclary!
This is my pup - aptly named Rocket! With his speed, my washing would be dry in about 10 mins! 🚀
