Well, that's why myself and Blastoise186 use Nintendo games consoles - because they're something like 5,000% less power hungry than Xbox and PlayStation performance monsters are.
Yes, my SNES only pulls about 12w max. Not tried measuring the Wii, but I seem to recall it's fairly frugal unless you are playing an Audio CD. One of the former teenogres had a PS3. Playing Call Of Duty, it ran hot enough to desolder it's graphics chip...several times.
Ah, but at 12%, the CPU isn't exactly going to be sweating, is it?!
Exactly. Because he rarely pushes it that hard. The most he's seen Samurott pull is 135W, but the power brick supports 180W to allow some extra capacity. But the crazy amount of cooling on Samurott also means it's unlikely to overheat anyway.
Nah, he wouldn't do that! Raichu is a SMETS2 Aclara SGM1411-B anyway, so it'd tell OVO immediately by triggering a tamper alarm if Blastoise tried to tamper with it or attempt to hack it.

The Wii used about 12-20W on average when in use (Green LED). Less than 1W when Deep Standby (Red LED) and less than 5W when in Standby with WiiConnect24 (Orange LED).
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

Blastoise also taught me a neat trick though the other day. Doesn't save much energy with all the computational power required to generate the BBCode, but it looks cool!
Haha @theunknowntech - you do always keep us on our toes!!
@Andy65 your idea around duvets really did get me thinking 🤔. I live in a flat with very little space to do anything really, so drying clothes is a massive problem for me 😪. I do not use the dryer to keep costs low so I rely on a clothes horse to dry things but over winter when you are drying more jumpers/jeans it really is a killer! What is everyones opinion on the heated racks?
My MIL uses one and it does also heat up the room when in use, maybe that would be beneficial to people - but I do believe they can be pricey?

It's a bit difficult in a flat - l lived in one for several years. Even in winter, so long as it is fairly dry weather, line drying clothes will still get them almost dry, and then I finish mine off on a drying rack, but if you are in a flat you may not have access to an outdoor drying space.
There is also some merit in giving clothes an extra spin cycle in the washing machine if you rely on a tumble dryer. The cost of an extra spin is much cheaper than an extra twenty minutes or half an hour in the dryer.
Another tip I was given by a friend, who works in the textile industry, was never use fabric conditioner as a matter of course. That increases drying time by around 20%.
Your towels may not be quite so fluffy, but they will me more absorbent too.
