Hi, Since the price guarantee my ihd has still been charging the higher amounts per kwh and not reset to new reduced charges per kwh for electric or gas. I've no idea what i'm using now!
I checked my online account and rates have been reduced there. Does anyone know if/when my ihd will catch up? And more importantly, will i be billed at the lower or higher rate?
Contacted customer service through facebook, Whatsapp & 2 emails- No reply from any of them, which is appauling! I pay by dd if that makes any difference . Thanks for reading
@beks your IHD is a guide and not definitive on pricing. The consumption data will be correct though. You bills are calculated from the consumption data in your online account. I don’t have any smart metering - I just check my consumption. I know if I minimise that , then so will my bills be.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@meldrewreborn Thanks for the quick reply! Thats a real relief i wont be charged the higher prices for sure.... I was almost bullied into getting a smart meter, saying i couldn't have the tariff i wanted unless i had 1 installed. Now its outdated and of no use whatsoever. As you say, Pointless!!
The fix should be pretty simple though. If you ask customer service to run the SMETS Command Update Tariff Configuration against BOTH meters, everything should be fixed up.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

@theunknowntech Thanks for the info!! I will try to contact them again. Not had any response from facebook, whatsapp, or emails so far but will try again with your advice

If you have an IHD (albeit with incorrect tariff information at present) then you must have a smart meter that the IHD is connected to wirelessly. The thing you can do is check whether you have a SMETS1 meter or a SMETS2 meter working in smart mode (not seen this information in your post) via something like the Citizens Advice tool. This may or may not give you a little more information on your setup.
This is what I get when I use it for my MPAN (will be the the same for the gas)
@Mailman I believe i have a smets 2 (colour display?) I cant seem to find an MPAN number on my account but all my readings have 'smart' against them so i pressume they are that
