I had new smart meters fitted a couple of months ago but they have never sent a reading in. They show as connected. Also the tariff information is wrong so it’s showing the wrong prices. How can I get this fixed please?
It can take several weeks after installation for smart meters to function properly. If they have been installed for over six weeks then there may be an issue.
If you can post photos of the meters, comms hub and IHD then perhaps our volunteer smart meter expert @theunknowntech will be able to help.
Also, if you can describe what the lights on the comms hub (HAN/WAN etc.) are doing, including exactly what rate they are flashing at, then that will help the diagnosis.
As regards the tariff being wrong, that may be a separate issue that customer service can deal with by forcing an update.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
I have downloaded an app called loop energy and that is receiving data from my smart meters on usage so there isn’t an issue with sending data. It’s definitely something wrong at Eons end. The meters were fitted 18/07/22 so I’ve waited a fair amount of time.
It could just be read schedules in that case. Customer service should be able to fix that if you tell them we sent you.
