Have eon stopped using off peak on the economy 10 system today at 12.30 I had an off peak rate asked for a bill to be sent off peak rate had gone standard rate of 33.03p across all tariffs and also it added £180 to my bill
@JoeSoap yesterday I called eonnext to have a dual tarrif meter fitted and to get an up to date bill .Before I called I had three tarrifs ,two tarrifs on the off peak meter and the standard tarrif .My bill was £28 in debt when I received the bill the off peak tarrif had disappeared to be replaced by a standard tarrif of 33.03 for 24 hr .Also eonnext need to speak to there customer service team as they told me the maximum bill I would have to pay is the credit cap and I couldn't go above that.Forgot to add my bill then jumped to £200 in debt
So it does sound like they have put you on single rate Next Flex tariff which indeed means you will be charged at the new standard variable rates as per the EPG.
I can’t explain the £200 debit so unless you can work out why by looking at your statement then you will need to speak to customer service again,
Bills are not capped - it’s prices that are capped. There is no maximum bill.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
ive just got E10 however I had to ask to register a dispute to get it, I have got it installed now however they have royally messed up the timing for it so I’ve been paying a higher higher rate.
im just about to lodge a dispute with Ofgem as the slowness of the replies has got rediculous and the lack of correct timing has cost me significantly.
@KCSH180 well done for getting it at all. We had E10 for 26 years. They took it off us accidentally and won't restore it. The ombudsman agreed with them as they pretended they don't do E10. But we have had 6 months of incorrect timings and have only kept the bills down by getting up in the middle of the night to put things on.
