I signed up to a fixed tariff for both gas and electricity on the 25th July 2022. During this time the energy price cap was set between April 2022 and 1st Oct at £1971.The fixed price for my electricity was 39.68p Kwh. Since the 1st Oct,my electricity unit rate has been reduced to 32.13p Kwh due to the government intervention of £2500 price cap for typical energy use. I feel that I was overcharged between the period of July 2022 to the 1st Oct. I tried to contact a customer service agent which too over an hour to speak with an agent named Peter who stated that i was on a fixed price and that Eon have done me a favour as they have reduced my electricity unit price for me and then put the phone down. It is so unbelievable to have agents that have such contempt for their customers. I have also sent an email tice but not recieved a reply just to let me know they received it.I just don't know what to do, please help.
@JoeSoap Thanks mate, its so annoying speaking with agents who do not know the previous typical avg usage for energy yet they are supposed to be energy consultants.
